Make it a Day at the Races at Portland Meadows!
No matter where your coming from, Portland Meadows is easily accessible by car or public transit.
From Vancouver, Washington:
Take Interstate 5 South to Interstate Blvd/Portland Meadows exit (306). Stay right and follow the ramp to Victory Road. Turn right onto Victory Road. Continue onto Whitaker Road. The racetrack is located near the intersection of Whitaker Road and Schmeer Road with entrance points located on both Whitaker, one half block south of Hayden Meadows Drive and on Schmeer just east of Whitaker.
From Salem, Oregon:
Take Interstate 5 North to the Portland Meadows exit (306B). Turn right onto Victory Road. Continue onto Whitaker Road. The track is located near the intersection of Whitaker Road and N. Schmeer Road. Entrance points are available on Whitaker Road one half block south of Hayden Meadows Drive and on N.Schmeer road just east of Whitaker.
From Gresham and the Columbia River Gorge
Take I-84 West to I-5 North.Take I-5 North to the Portland Meadows Exit (306B). Turn right onto Victory Road. Continue onto Whitaker Rd. The Park is located near the intersection of Whitaker Rd. and N. Schmeer with entrance points located on both Whitaker, one-half block south of Hayden Meadows Drive and on N. Schmeer just east of Whitaker.
From Beaverton and the Oregon Coast
Take Highway 26 East to I-405 North. Take I-405 North to I-5 North. Take I-5 North to the Portland Meadows Exit (306B). Turn right onto Victory Road. Continue onto Whitaker Rd. The Park is located near the intersection of Whitaker Rd. and N. Schmeer with entrance points located on both Whitaker, one-half block south of Hayden Meadows Drive and on N. Schmeer just east of Whitaker.
Via the MAX Train:
In order to get to Portland Meadows via the MAX Train, take the Yellow Line north to the Delta Park/Vanport Max Station, which is the second to last stop heading northbound. From the station walk approximately 3/4 of a mile east/southeast on Whitaker Ave. The track will be on your left from Whitaker Ave.
New in 2012, Portland Meadows has contracted with EcoShuttle to offer complimentary shuttle service from the Delta Park/Vanport Max Station.
The service is available on live days and starts 30 minutes before first post time and runs for one hour; ending approximately 30 minutes after the first race.
The service continues starts up again 30 minutes before last post time and runs for one hour; ending approximately 30 minutes after the last race of the night.
Max Station: Please look for the sandwich/'A' board with the Portland Meadows logo adjacent to the bike lockers
Portland Meadows: Service is available at the Turf Club entrance
Airport Directions
Exit Airport and go east on Airport Way. Turn right at 82nd Ave. Exit at Columbia Blvd, and turn right onto Columbia. Continue on Columbia for approximately 4.5 miles. Turn right onto Vancouver Ave. Turn right onto Schmeer Rd. You will see the park on your right hand side, the entrance is just before Whitaker Rd.
