Overtime Victory from last to first to take the O.H.B.P.A. Route Claiming Series Final

Overtime Victory had to pass all of his ten rivals to take home the top honor in Sunday’s feature event, the $20,000 O.H.B.P.A Route Claiming Series Final. Sent off at odds of 5/2, Overtime Victory got away slowly and was far back by the time the field hit the first turn. On the first turn, at one point he was eighteen lengths behind the leader Castle Pines.

After 60 racing days and 1694 eliminated players, Bruce Meyer stood at the top of the mountain alone as the single winner of Portland Meadows Ultimate ShowVivor Online Contest. Since he outlasted all of his competitors and made it to the end of the season, Meyer will take home a $10,000 pay day.

Pick 4 Carryover of $1,936.36 going into closing day

The Pick 4 was not hit on Saturday December 8, 2012 so there will be a carryover going into Sunday.

On Sunday December 9, 2012 the Pick 4 covers Race 9-12 and will feature both a $1,936.36 carryover and a mandatory payout as it is closing day of the 2012 Summer/Fall Meet.

Alexander OTB Winter Greyhound Handicapping Contest

The contest will feature three preliminary legs, beginning on Saturday December 15, 2012 and will end with a $1,500 cash prize final on Saturday February 9, 2013.

$20,000 Route Claiming Series Final

The $20,000 Final of the O.H.B.P.A. Route Claiming Series will headline the closing day card at Portland Meadows on Sunday December 9th. The series started out back on Sunday October 28th when 27 horses competed at a mile and a sixteenth for a $2,500 claiming tag. Eighteen of those runners continued on to Leg 2 of the series, which involved racing at one mile and one eighth for a $4,000 claiming tag. Now, the Finals are upon us, and a full field of twelve is expected for the one mile and one quarter event that will feature a $20,000 purse.

Sneakin Bye dominates the Baxter Andruss Futurity Finals

Sneakin Bye broke beautifully and went right to the front, never looking back in taking $28,400 Baxter Andruss Oregon Bred Futurity Final at Portland Meadows on Sunday afternoon. Sent off at odds of 8/1 in the field of ten, Sneakin Bye ($19.20) broke great and went right to the front under jockey Debbie Hoonan.
