Join us at Portland Meadows Every Sunday for a $100 Handicapping Tournament every Sunday from April 8, 2012 to June 17, 2012.  For just a $10 buy in, you'll be entered in a fun 5 race handicapping contest at Santa Anita or Hollywood Park (whichever is in season), and if you can hit the top three spots in the contest, you'll take home some cash! If 30 people enter the contest, prize pool goes up to $200, if 40 people enter, then the prize pool goes up to $300!!  So the more players, the more you play for!

Kubinova takes home 5 winners on Wednesday card

Eliska Kubinova continued her fantastic season at Portland Meadows as she booted home five winners on the 10 race Wednesday card.  She started off in Race 2 with Golden N Sweet ($4.80) for leading trainer Felimon Alvarado.  She came back a few races later and scored with Wild Hank ($15.80) for the Jonathan Nance barn.   Kubinova was back the following race with Partnership Payout ($12.20) for trainer Gary Morris Jr. who had to overcome the far outside post and a wide journey to win.

Danner sets New Track Record at 300 yards

Danner has struggled a bit making the transition to running against older horses, but he got right back on track on Monday at Portland Meadows as he set a new track record for 300 yards when he completed the course in 15.51 seconds.  The old record was set by Thinkin Strawfly who ran 300 yards on April 30, 1995 in 15.55.
