CM Got Overserved scores in the Far West Futurity Finals
CM Got Overserved really seems to be figuring out this racing game, as he powered home to an impressive score in the $30,900 Far West Futurity Finals at Portland Meadows on Monday. Sent off as the tepid 5/2 favorite, CM Got Overserved broke very sharply under jockey Joe Crispin, which Crispin said was key to the victory.
“He’s just so professional out of the gate,” said Crispin. “I think he’s just learning how to run, and a few starts back it’s like the lights came on and now he’s loving it.”
CM Got Overserved is a home-bred runner for owner Randy Dickerson and races out of the Nick Lowe barn. He’s now won three out of six career starts and has now earned over $23,000 in his career.
“We’ve been chasing a good one like him for a long time,” said Dickerson. “We raised his mama and we raised him, so it’s fun to have a runner like this.”
The final time for 400 yards was 20.01 seconds. Trainer Nick Lowe echoed the positive statements from his owner after the race.
“He’s the most professional 2 year old I’ve ever had,” said Lowe, who has been training horses for over two decades. “He’s just not making any mistakes and leaves there so well. When we school him in the gate, he’s as professional as they come.”
