Unarmed Security Guard (Building and Barn Area)

Salary:  $10.00/hr
Employment Type: Part Time, Approx. 16 - 32+ hrs/wk

Shifts Available:  Various - Graveyard, Day and Swing (incl. Holidays and Weekends)

Duties included but are not limited to the following:

• Monitor entry gate to barn area.
• Patrol/monitor parking lot and barn areas.
• Ensure only licensed/authorized personnel enter grounds.
• Sign horses in and out.
• Keep various log books current.
• Answering phone calls (main switchboard after hours).
• Use PA system for pages and announcements.
• Citing people for parking violations
• Perform overall security for the building and parking lot.
• Fill out accident/incident reports.
• Assist in catching loose horses.
• Looking for safety or fire code violations
• Enforce compliance of DEQ, Safety and Fire Code rules.
• Stand/walk for long hours.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. when necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Requirements:

• DPSST license required (on-site training is available for a fee).
• Oregon Racing Commission License upon employment.
• Must have open availability for all shifts as well as on call, holidays and weekends.
