Portland, OR----The Oregon Racing Commission today approved Portland Meadows’ application for licensure for their 2010-11 racing season. Portland Meadows will race 75 days starting with their opening day card on Monday October 4, 2010. Portland Meadows’ racing schedule will consist of live racing every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with a first post at 12:40pm PST. Live Racing will go every week up until closing day on Wednesday March 30, 2011. Portland Meadows will however take a one week Holiday break in December. There will be no live racing on Monday December 20, Tuesday December 21, and Wednesday December 22, 2010.
Portland Meadows will race up to 10 races on both Monday and Tuesdays, and 9 races on the Wednesday cards. The Stakes Schedule for the 2010-2011 racing season will be completed in the coming weeks along with the exact dates for Portland Meadows’ signature race the Portland Mile.
