PORTLAND, OR – On Monday March 10 Portland Meadows is hosting its signature event – the Portland Meadows Mile. To celebrate, Portland Meadows will offer a $20,000 Guaranteed Pick 5 pool with mandatory payout. The Portland Meadows Mile will go postward as race 9 and will be the fourth race of the Pick 5 sequence.
To make things interesting, Portland Meadows has challenged HRTV Host/Analyst Aaron Vercruysse to produce a sample Pick 5 ticket. The challenge is that if Mr. Vercruysse can correctly select the Pick 5 with a ticket under $50, Portland Meadows will donate $1,000 to the charity of his choice. He has chosen The Race For Education as his charity.
The Pick 5 was added as a regular addition to the Portland Meadows betting profile on December 30, 2007. Since that time the Pick 5 has been paid out fourteen times with an average $2.00 payout of $1,443.73. The highest Pick 5 payout was $5,846.00 on February 11. With eleven races carded for Monday March 10 the Pick 5 will cover races 6–10. The Pick 5 always ends in the next to last race and features a $1.00 base bet with a minimum total ticket cost of $2.00.
Mr. Vercruysse’s sample Pick 5 ticket will be featured on HRTV and will be posted on the Portland Meadows live video display and at www.portlandmeadows.com.
Portland Meadows’ first post is 12:35 PM PDT so tune in and remember to root for Aaron’s picks and win with The Race For Education!
