Job Description
ADP Payroll processing of 100-150 employees; Run reports for Manager’s approvals, Data entry, Audit data (verify hours, pay, deductions, & withholdings), Sort checks and put in envelopes.
Ensures the accurate processing of electronic payroll and E-time, compiling of payroll statistics, and maintenance of payroll records, accept/verify E-time data, input time corrections, monitor employee punches, run employee punch detail for Managers
Assists Managers with employee discipline issues, hiring and firing within compliance of labor laws.
Provides information to Supervisors, attorneys, and union reps. regarding union negotiations, grievances, compliances, dues, benefits, hours & pay, etc.
Administrates union and non-union benefits; including preparing billings, enrollments, terminations, vacation, sick leave, 401k, medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending, Disability, COBRA, FMLA, ensures continuation of benefits under FMLA, and Workers Compensation claims.
Ensures timely account contributions.
Manages 401k loan administration and hardship withdrawals.
Manages the benefits termination process.
Annual Audits (Liberty Mutual, OR Employment Dept., Unions, & Corp.).
Complete applications and post permits required by BOLI
Provide payroll and human resource support to corporate (answering questions & inquires).
Provide customer service to employees & dependents, by telephone and in person, regarding insurance inquires (unpaid bills, coverage interpretation, etc.) Contact corporate to resolve such issues.
Enters new employee information into electronic payroll system.
Manages the inputting of manual wage changes, position changes and contract wage increases.
Interprets company policies and government regulations in connection with payroll procedures.
Responsible for communicating to all levels of the organization regarding changes, issues that need to be addressed etc.
Directs preparation of government reports as prepared by ADP.
Fulfills payroll report requests using ReportSmith software.
Prepare and input payroll journal entries in Great Plains accounting system.
Assists to supervise, train, and evaluate staff.
Handles, in a positive manner, those inherent levels of stress associated with employment situations.
Complies with laws/regulations and company policies including those regarding confidentiality, honesty, and business ethics.
Maintains responsive and cooperative relationships with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, customers, and other personnel.
Accomplishes assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner within standards established by supervisor.
Participates in training and professional development.
Payroll corrections (stop pays, termination, over/under pay).
New Hire and Social Security reporting and compliance.
Verify taxes (forms, quarterlies, and year-end).
W-2 processing (Year End).
Garnishments (input, distribution, & law compliance).
Assist Health & Safety Mgr with training classes and administrative duties.
Must be able to obtain an Oregon Racing Commission License.
Other related duties as assigned.
